Vanadinite

*from Apex mine, San Carlos, Manuel Benavides Municipality, Chihuahua, Mexico.
*35 x 15 x 12mm overall with clusters reaching 10 mm. 

The Apex mine was a small oxidized magnetite-rich zinc-lead skarn in the Sierra San Carlos. It was operated through the 1950s by ASARCO and best known for outstanding vanadinite and wulfenite. In 2018 and 2019 major finds of vanadinite were made that overshadowed all previous finds. This one is from the 2018 & 2019. Nut is negotiable. 

This specimen has it all. Color, Aesthetics, and a few calcites to set it off.
