Dig either Saturday or Sunday or Both Days! You will regret not doing both days.
Limits: You get to keep anything valued under $1000 (per piece). You can purchase anything else for a wholesale value determined by the guide. You can NOT keep any t-rex teeth OR Pachycephalosaurus bones.
We have a minimum of 10 people to make this happen.
Difficulty Level:
- On a scale of 1 to 3 this is a 2. We do not recommend kids under 12.

- Date: Saturday, May 30th, 2026
- Location: Newcastle, Wyoming.
- Cost: $545
- Capacity: Limited to about 50 people
- Age Restriction: Kids 12 are not recommended. If you have a kid younger, reach out to Rick to discuss arrangements.

Vehicle Requirements:
- Car with good tires required.
What's Included:
- Expert guidance from someone with 35+ years experience digging dinos.
- Identification assistance

What to Bring:

- Shovel (optional but recommended)
- Hand lens (essential for micro minerals)
- Food and water for the day
- Appropriate hiking gear and sturdy boots
- Ice pick
- Sun shade
- PaleoBond glue.
Trip Focus & Difficulty:
- Collecting Style: You will be sitting in the direct sun, and by sitting, I mean laying on your belly a lot.
- Physical Demand: very little
- Digging: Hard digging not necessary, but be prepared for physical activity
- Skill Level: Mineral identification background helpful, or come ready to ask lots of questions!
What You'll Find:
The list of goodies we have found is long. Most abundant are many species of dino teeth. Ribs, toe bones, jaw bones, leg bones are all common.
I recommend you sign up for both days. It is a long drive and you will want to make it worth your time. No one has done just one day and said "I'm glad I only did one day".
