Blue & Yellow Agate Collecting Adventure

This is a new dig for us. Details will be posted as they come in.  

Difficulty Level:

Event Details:

• Date: Saturday, August 8th
• Location: Drum Mountains, Utah
• Cost: $50 or $125
• Capacity: Limited to about 30 people
• Age Restriction: Strongly recommended ages 12+

Vehicle Requirements:

• Car with good tires required. You'll have to "buddy" up with someone with a truck
• High clearance vehicle is not necessary
• 4WD is not needed

What's Included:

• Expert guidance
  
• Collecting Limit is ONE 5 gallon bucket per paying person. 

What to Bring:

• Rock hammer and chisel
• bucket 5 gallon 
• Material to wrap specimens in (toilet paper, foil, paper towels, small containers)
• Shovel (optional but recommended)
  
• Food and water for the day
• Appropriate hiking gear and sturdy boots

Trip Focus & Difficulty:

• Collecting Style: For $50 you can surface collect. For $125 you get to dig fresh material from the exposed vein. 
• Physical Demand: That's up to you.
• Digging: Hard digging necessary to grazing.

What You'll Find:

Beautiful blue and yellow agate perfect for tumbling, cabbing, spheres, etc.
