Classic calcite crystals from a unique location in Utah, the Mounds in Carbon County. This area is more famous for ammonites and other marine fossils. However, there is a great septarian nodule location in the area. Occasionally, you find an open vug with great calcite crystals. These tend to be peppered with either pyrite or goethite (dark orange spots).
